To do this, take the Dubai Metro Red Line from your departing point (e.g. Dubai Airport Terminal 3) to either Rashidiya Metro Station or Deira City Centre Metro Station. The journey will take around 30 minutes depending on your metro stop.
From Rashidiya or Deira City Center metro stations, you then board a connecting RTA bus to Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah. The bus ride takes roughly 60 minutes.
The entire journey from Dubai Airport to Sharjah by metro and bus will take approximately 90 to 120 minutes.
The total transit cost is approximately $4-$5 per person.
Taking the metro is more comfortable than the bus and allows you to avoid traffic. The downside is the metro only covers Dubai, so you still need to transfer to a bus to reach Sharjah.
